Cold morning/beautiful day

West Yellowstone is somewhat like Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with lots of T-shirt shops and other places that one might buy things one neither wants nor needs.

Nevertheless, the  trip into town was beautiful seeing the mountains more closely and feeling the clean air at more than a mile in altitude.

Woke up to temperatures in the low 40s and a perfectly clear sky.  Even after breakfast about 6:30 it was still quite chilly as we headed south towards grand Tetons.

All day they became more visible.

Once we made the climb to this pass the ride became the easiest so far.

We crossed back into Idaho from Montana and will cross into Wyoming tomorrow.  The ride tomorrow will take us to a pass with an elevation of more than 9,000 feet, so I will be climbing about 5,000 feet tomorrow.

Lunch was at on overlook to a beautiful waterfall and deep canyon.

The Tetons and green lush potato fields.
