Wind River Canyon

Left Riverton and headed north today.  First part of day not very special but once we got to Wind River Canyon the scenery changed for the better.

Water stop.

There were three tunnels along the route.

The canyon walls were rich with color.

Once we left the canyon,we fought a 25 mph head and cross winds for the rest of the ride to Worland, our overnight stop.

On the way we passed a hot spring.  I didn't go in. If I would have taken a dip, I would still be there

Tomorrow is the toughest day of the entire trip with a climb of almost 9,000 ft over about 90 miles.  Leaving early.  Wish me luck.  So far I have  made all the climbs.

I hope you are enjoying these posts.  I have no idea if anyone is reading them but I enjoy writing them and chronicling this awesome adventure.

P.S.  pardon typos as I am writing all these on an iPhone with my thumbs.
