4th of July in the Tetons

Due to the fact that yesterday evening we had no internet and no voice service. this post will cover both the 4th and 5th of July

The ride on July 4th was awesome. We left  the Teton Science Center and traveled through Jackson Hole and on to the Grand Teton Natl Park.

There is a bike trail that takes you off the main roads and brings you close to the mountain base.

We rode most of the morning in the park and each vista was more awesome than the one before it.  What a way to spend the holiday!

Then It was time to head east and over another pass.  Before that, we had our own 4th of July Picnic with the mountains in the background.

Then a 16 mile climb to the pass at about  9,500 ft.  Highest climb so far.  Can feel the
thin air. Then a downhill for about 12 miles...43 mph this time.

Down we go.

Ended our day in Dubois and fell asleep listening to the city's fireworks show.

Today the high mountains are in the west as we rode east on high plains to Rivertown ( a town that does have cell service and internet access)

Now we are in Riverton after a 81 mile trip.  Some headwinds but all and all another great day
